Rules of Membership

1.    Culture - Together as a business referral group, SWFLBA members will seek to maintain the highest degree of honesty, integrity, and quality in each of our respective businesses.  Our organization will be “class act” within the community and become the “go to” referral group for questions and answers.

2.    Referrals - We pledge to refer business to our fellow members as often as possible to as many of our customers and business associates as practicable.  When a lead is developed through the efforts of the Alliance and given to a member, it is an inherent responsibility to recommend other member’s services to that customer.

3.    New Members - New members must be recommended by current members.  The member introducing the new member is held responsible and liable for the applicant before, during, and after the membership process and SWFLBA inclusion into the membership.  Both members could be removed from membership for violation of the rules and non-payment of dues and other participatory obligations.

4.    Membership Fees - Membership application shall be submitted and applicant interviews conducted with executive board for approval.  Once approved, membership fee of $250.00 (including a $50 application fee) is due and payable to the Alliance along with submitting the application form.

5.    Renewals - Annual renewal fee shall be due upon anniversary date each succeeding year along with 3 current customer referral recommendations.

6.    Meetings - All efforts shall be made by members to attend SWFLBA monthly membership meetings (whatever is set forth by the membership).  Along with as many bi-monthly brainstorming meetings as possible.

7.    Synergistic Cooperation -  All members will be responsible to participate in a quarterly marketing fee.  This fee is meant to act as an advertising and marketing “cost sharing” program that will promote and the SWFLBA membership as a whole to develop individual leads for the members.  The quarterly fee budget will be developed by the executive board members with recommendations from the membership in relation to business activities, community activities, group development and industry participation.
